The course presents the way of using ACI 318 and ASCE for petrochemical facilities to design the anchor bolt and the base plate. The calculation of anchor bolt forces and the stresses on the base plate will be presented in this course. The anchor bolt materials will be discussed also on this course.

There are many ways to design the base plate from stress analysis and to use a finite element the easy way is to use the stress analysis will be discussed as it is most traditional for fixed end connection and hinged connection as will.
